Bertram's is an elegant yet relaxed restaurant with boutique bedrooms in the heart of Warkworth. We pride ourselves on serving exceptional food using the very best seasonal Northumbrian produce, delivered with genuine hospitality.

We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with fresh ingredients, develop your skills and be part of a supportive team committed to producing outstanding food.

What you'll be doing

Running your own section during busy lunch and dinner services.
Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal dishes to a consistently high standard.
Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and HACCP compliance.
Assisting with stock control, stock rotation and minimising waste.
Helping with menu development and daily specials.
Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
Maintaining the quality and presentation of every dish.

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Commis Chef ready to progress.
A genuine passion for fresh food and quality ingredients.
Calm and organised under pressure.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
