Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of excellence. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen team to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Help in the training of new kitchen staff as required.
Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
