Chef at The Shelter Trust

Overview

The Shelter Trust, a Jersey charity supporting our Island's homeless community, is seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to produce meals for our service users.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals for service users (lunch and dinner).
• Plan menus that are nutritious, cost-effective, and cater to dietary needs.
• Effectively manage food donations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Manage food inventory and coordinate with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a chef.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team.
• Committed to undertaking on-going training.
