Chef

Berkeley Scott is recruiting experienced chefs for the new school year starting in September, working with Impact Food Group across schools in the Exeter area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff.
• Plan menus in line with school guidelines and dietary requirements.
• Ensure high standards of food hygiene, safety and kitchen cleanliness.
• Manage stock, order supplies and minimise waste.
• Supervise and support kitchen assistants during service.
• Adhere to all food safety and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a senior chef, preferably in a school or similar environment.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
• Enhanced DBS with child workforce or willingness to obtain is essential.
• Strong, reliable and excellent communication skills.
• Passion for providing healthy meals for children and young people.
• Minimum Level2 Food Safety and Allergens, plus additional compliance training (provided free).
