Charity Shop Manager - York

Hours: We are offering this role with the option of a set working week of either 3, 4, or 5 full days. There is a degree of flexibility in rotas, but some weekend working is expected. Expected working hours are 9.15am-5.15pm.

Are you passionate about retail and eager to take on a new challenge? We're looking for a manager for our York shop who can get involved and make it their own.

The branch currently operates four charity shops (Acomb, York City Centre, Malton, and Selby). We need to improve our retail offering and ensure it contributes to the charity's work both financially and as a window into the Animal Home.

Recently, our Goodramgate shop has been struggling to meet its sales targets and achieve similar sales levels as previous years. We are seeking an experienced manager who can take on the challenge of running the shop and making it successful again. We believe this shop can thrive once more, and we're looking for someone with the drive and passion to make it happen.

Do you have the skills and enthusiasm for the following?

• Hitting sales targets and maximising charity income
• Supporting and training teams of volunteers and staff
• Delivering a high-quality customer experience
• Sorting, pricing, and merchandising donated stock
• Coordinating and maintaining a programme of generating quality donations for sale
• Ensuring accurate records and financial management

Can you give one of our animals their forever home? Dogs, cats, and small animals are waiting to meet you.

From donations to volunteering, we need help caring for the animals brought to us for many different reasons.

We are primarily self-funding, and the money we spend in York is raised locally. Income is generated by our charity shops in Goodramgate, York, Acomb, and Selby.
