Job Description

This role demands a seasoned financial professional capable of managing complex, multinational financial operations, delivering strategic insights, and ensuring alignment with both regional and global objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Performance management
2. Providing strategic support for major CAPEX decisions
3. Process improvement and systems optimisation
4. Leading the production of consolidated accounts and statutory reporting for the European group companies, ensuring timeliness and accuracy

The role will collaborate closely with the European CEO and leadership team, local Financial Directors, and finance teams across subsidiaries to ensure consistent financial management and reporting practices. There will be a dotted line into Group and close working relationship with Group CFO.

Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and compliance.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, including roles as Finance Director, Group FC, or equivalent in a multinational organisation
• Expertise in statutory accounts, consolidation accounts, treasury operations, and management accounting
• Solid experience working with external auditors and managing end-to-end audit processes
• Strong experience coordinating financial operations across multiple countries, ensuring internal control and compliance with international and local regulations, leveraging ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, statutory reporting, and ERP systems
• Comprehensive understanding of IFRS, UK, and European accounting standards and tax regulations
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks in multinational settings
• Excellent leadership, team management, and people engagement skills
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments
• Proactive problem-solving approach with a results-focused mindset
