Overview

The Chisago Lakes School District is located approximately 35 miles northeast of downtown Minneapolis/Saint Paul. The District serves about 3,400 students (Pre K-12) across multiple communities and includes a Primary School, Taylors Falls Elementary School, Lakeside Elementary School, Chisago Lakes Middle School, and Chisago Lakes High School. The District collaborates with the Wolf Creek Charter School and the St. Croix River Education District and oversees the Chisago Lakes Education Center programs. Construction and renovations in recent years reflect ongoing investment in academics, fine arts, community education, and extracurricular activities.

• Title: Certified Personal Trainer
• Location: Wildcat Community Center
• Salary: Starting wage $35.00/hour
• License: Current Personal Training Certification (ACE, NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or equivalent)
• CPR/AED Certification
• Hours/Day: 1
• Days/Year: Varies, up to 150

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with clients to develop customized fitness programs
• Provide coaching, accountability, and a positive training experience
• Conduct fitness assessments and goal-setting consultations
• Design and implement personalized workout programs
• Provide safe, effective, and engaging training sessions
• Educate clients on proper exercise technique and injury prevention
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Maintain a clean and organized training environment
• Assist with member engagement and retention efforts
• Build positive relationships with members and offer encouragement and support

Qualifications

• Current Personal Training Certification (ACE, NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or equivalent)
• CPR/AED Certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and connect with clients of all ages and fitness levels
• Reliable, professional, and self-motivated

Preferred qualifications

• Previous personal training or coaching experience
• Experience in a community or recreational setting
• Group fitness experience is a plus
