Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Central Planner to join our Hartlepool team.

This role is part of a team of four responsible for routing work across England, Scotland, and Wales in a fast-paced, commercially led environment.

Responsibilities:

The post is responsible for the day to day routing of vehicles within the business in
an efficient and effective manner. The person will work as part of a centralised
team.


This includes:

  • Implementation of our Health, Safety & Environment policies.
  • Scheduling all vehicles for the sites/region allocated to this role.
  • Holiday and absence driver management for the sites/region allocated
    to this role.
  • Driver briefing and de-briefing in co-ordination with regional traffic
    operators.
  • Ensuring drivers are available for all necessary training.
  • Ensuring vehicles are available for all scheduled and unscheduled
    maintenance.
  • Producing and providing all relevant reporting.
  • Ensuring all planning objectives are met and exceeded when possible.

Key Skills and Qualities:

  • An ability and experience to collaborate with wider stakeholder groups inside and
    outside of Your NRG.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure whilst
    maintaining compliance
  • An ability to motivate and engage the team in understanding best practice and
    compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
  • An ability to develop and maintain a harmonious team working environment,
    reducing points of conflict, and resolving any issues at the earliest stage possible.
  • An ability to make the best use of the resources available to address the agreed
    priorities.
  • A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all relevant regulatory, law and
    compliance legislation.
  • An ability to analyse data to provide effective management reporting to enable
    fully-informed decision making for the Transport Director.

Qualifications and/or experience preferred:

  • CPC
  • Level 3 supervisory Management (ILM or CMI)
  • Previous experience of working in a planning environment for a liquid fuel
    distributor
  • £30k starting salary going up to £32k on completion of probationary period (6 months)
