The Role:Customer Operations develop, deliver and support excellence customer experience and service to both domestic and nondomestic customers within a regulated industry. Customer Operations are responsible for managing the customer relationship with the Customer Contact Centre, ensuring timely and accurate customer billing services and effectively implementing the Uisce Éireann customer strategy
Connections and Developer Services (CDS) are responsible for the customer engagement and stakeholder relationship management of all applicants wishing to connect to the Uisce Éireann network. The CDS team manage the customer journey from development concept design, statutory planning process, pre-connection, technical design, site quality assurance, vesting of new asset and final connection and metering, including developing commercial/technical customer agreements, and managing customer funding in adherence to all technical standards, connection charging policy and governance requirements. CDS are responsible for delivering a highly effective customer service, including reviewing, and implementing solutions to meet changing customer needs. Collaboration with several key business partners is essential for the successful delivery of connections on behalf of the customer.
Reporting to the CDS Stakeholder Strategy Lead, the CDS Stakeholder Strategy Advisor will support the management of communications to key industry stakeholders throughout the different stages of the Uisce Éireann Connection Process. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that clear and concise messaging is consistently delivered through new and existing channels, to large scale Developers, approved housing bodies, local authorities, state agencies and industry bodies. The Stakeholder Strategy Advisor will use their communications skills and experience, to ensure an excellent level of customer service is provided to all stakeholders throughout the Connection Process.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Support the Stakeholder Strategy Lead in the creation and delivery of key business messages to customers and other key stakeholders, on behalf of CDS and the larger Uisce Éireann business.
- Support the roll out of the communications required to support the successful delivery of the Developer Services' Stakeholder Management Plan.
- Co-ordinate the development of new and existing communications strategies which bring to life CDS' vision, purpose and goals.
- Support the management and development of new communication channels for CDS, and develop high quality, meaningful and engaging CDS messaging for these channels.
- Review and continually improve existing CDS communication channels (e.g. website, regular bulletins) to ensure that key process changes, and other critical messages are communicated to CDS' customers in the clearest way possible.
- Assist the Stakeholder Strategy Lead in the management of complex and challenging customer issues and ensure that fair and consistent messaging is used when communicating the outcome with customers including LRSD / ERSD responses.
- Suppport the building and maintaining of critical internal relationships with key stakeholders, and leverage these relationships to continually advocate for CDS' customers and their requirements.
- Suppport the building and maintaining of critical external relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. industry bodies, local and national representatives), to secure the consistent delivery of key CDS messaging and communications.
- Attend and represent CDS at regular high profile industry events, with the aim of supporting the development of key relationships across all levels of the construction and housing sectors.
- Support the continual reinforcing of CDS process and policies to customers, via the delivery of industry webinars and other initiatives.
- Escalate issues and challenges to the Stakeholder Strategy Lead or relevant business owners when required.
- Assist the larger Developer Services Team with the ongoing management of customer queries and issues, and assist in the timely response to these.
- Some travel within Ireland and out of hours attendance at events may be required for this role.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
- To assist in the promotion and delivery of process improvement initiatives within the area to enable a more efficient delivery of service for our customers.
- Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information, and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation.
- Other duties as required.
- Demonstrable experience working within a communications role, delivering key business messaging to a challenging audience.
- Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience in conflict resolution and managing difficult stakeholders.
- Ability to assist the development and maintaince of effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Proven track record of supporting the resolution of complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion, along with the ability to articulately communicate these matters to others
- Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results within a team.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions.
- Demonstrable ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements.
