About the RoleBrooklands Museum is one of the UK's most iconic heritage sites - the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation. We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Catering Supervisor to help us deliver exceptional food and drink experiences to our visitors every day.
Working closely with our Hospitality Managers, you'll play a central role in the day-to-day running of our café, Members' Bar and five function rooms - leading a great team, keeping standards high and making sure every guest leaves with a smile.
What You'll Be Doing- Overseeing day-to-day operations across our café, Members' Bar and five function rooms - from setup to closedown
- Leading and supporting the front of house team during service, setting the tone for great hospitality
- Planning and delivering functions and events, including room setups, staffing and operational coordination
- Providing bar, barista and food service to the highest standards, including cash handling and till operation
- Managing stock rotation, ordering and waste reduction across café and function areas
- Completing daily operational reports and attending weekly staff meetings
- Acting as Museum Duty Manager outside public opening hours when required
- Maintaining rigorous health & safety, food hygiene and licensing standards at all times
- A background in café, hospitality or customer facing food & beverage environments
- Experience leading or supervising a team during service
- A positive, friendly attitude and genuine commitment to great customer service
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and licensing requirements
- Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays and varying shifts
- Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Experience in a visitor attraction, museum or heritage environment
- Knowledge of function and events operations
- EPOS and cash handling experience
- Barista skills or interest in coffee and beverage development
