Job Description
What is the job role?

Required from September 2026. We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational individual to lead and manage our Catering Facility at Grange Farm Primary School. The successful candidate will have experience of managing a catering facility. You will be innovative, creative and passionate, ensuring our children have the best experience of healthy eating from a young age.

You will have experience of creating and cooking healthy delicious meals, managing a team of staff, reviewing and implementing change and managing a budget and menu planning, in order to deliver high-quality healthy food on budget and on time.

The successful candidate will:
  • Create and serve delicious and nutritious meals for our pupils.
  • Menu plan and manage budgets.
  • Lead, manage and motivate a team of catering staff.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of catering legislation.
  • Be Customer focused.
  • Be articulate and able to communicate effectively with all shareholders.
  • Have knowledge of basic ICT.

Hours of work

5 hours per day, 8.30 a.m. - 1.30 p.m.

Please note that this is a term time only job and annual leave is not permitted during term time.
