Supermac's is seeking full-time Catering Assistants for Headford Town, Co. Galway.

Please note: The restaurant is located in Headford Town, which is 25.4 km from Galway City. This job is NOT based on Headford Road in Galway City. Candidates must be able to commute daily without transportation difficulties. Travel time is approximately 48 minutes by bus (when available) and 35 minutes by car.

Job Purpose

The Catering Assistant ensures top-quality service and cleanliness at Supermac's, Papa John's, SuperSubs, Mac's Deli, Bewley's Barista & Spar. They engage with customers, staff, and management in a friendly, efficient manner, following training and handbook standards. The role aims to provide a welcoming experience across all areas, meeting customer needs and maintaining a clean environment. Flexibility in cooking, serving, and cleaning ensures every customer enjoys a great visit.

Requirements

• Candidates must live near Headford Town or have a reliable means of transportation to commute daily without issues. Public transport is limited, so the ability to get to work independently is essential.
• Deliver great Customer Service on every shift.
• Follow all safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

The Job

• Treat customers to warm and friendly service every time they visit the site.
• Work in all areas to comply with company standards, adhering to safety/quality aspects, ensuring consistency every time.
• Work as part of a team, treating all staff and management respectfully, in all required areas.
• Follow company guidelines/training in all aspects of food preparation, production, and storage.
• At all times, portray a professional image, both on and off the premises.
• Work with the management team to increase the number of customers and the amount of money spent every day in our restaurant.
• About cash handling, ensure correct procedures are followed as directed by management.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance, complying with company guidelines.
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the site as requested by the Manager.
• Constantly put the customer first, whether first thing in the morning or last thing at night.
• Handle complaints and incidents effectively, passing them on to the Supervisor/Manager.
• Keep the lobby area and customer toilets clean and tidy at all times.

Work Environment

Fast-paced, high-energy environment. The role can be physically demanding at times due to business needs, including high customer volume and staffing levels. Teamwork is essential to ensure smooth operations across all areas and to maintain effective communication.

The successful candidates will have a good outgoing personality, enjoy dealing with the public, and be fully available to work weekdays and weekends.
