Catering Assistant: Hygienic Prep, Portioning & Service

To maintain a polite and efficient relationship with all service users.

The ability to follow instructions.

Ensure hygiene regulations and practises as laid down by the Food Hygiene Regulations are adhered to.

To maintain high standards of environmental hygiene adhering to cleaning procedures and correct use of chemicals To portion meals in the correct manner ensuring the products are aesthetically presented and that they follow the menu choice, dietary requirements and correct portion sizes at all times.

To complete all relevant control documents recording temperatures, waste and other prescribed documents.

To ensure the correct use, storage and rotation of all food products.

There is a requirement to spend long periods of time standing through the shift.

Constant moving and handling of stock, pans, clearing trolleys and meal trolleys.
