Catering Assistant full-time Fermoy

Job Purpose

The Catering Assistant ensures top-quality service and cleanliness at Supermac's, Papa John's, SuperSubs, Mac's Deli, Bewley's Barista & Spar. They engage with customers, staff, and management in a friendly, efficient manner, following training and handbook standards. The role aims to provide a welcoming experience across all areas, meeting customer needs and maintaining a clean environment. Flexibility in cooking, serving, and cleaning ensures every customer enjoys a great visit.

The Job

• Treat customers to warm and friendly service every time they visit the site.
• Work in all areas to comply with company standards, adhering to safety and quality aspects, ensuring consistency.
• Work as part of a team, treating all staff and management respectfully.
• Follow company guidelines and training in all aspects of food preparation, production, and storage.
• Portray a professional image at all times, both on and off the premises.
• Collaborate with the management team to increase customer numbers and sales.
• Handle cash in accordance with correct procedures directed by management.
• Maintain uniform and personal appearance in compliance with company guidelines.
• Show flexibility by working in all areas of the site as requested by the Manager.
• Constantly prioritize the customer, from the first shift of the day to the last.
• Handle complaints and incidents effectively, escalating them to the Supervisor or Manager.
• Keep lobby area and customer toilets clean and tidy at all times.

Work Environment

Fast paced, non stop environment. Physically demanding at times due to the business requirements regarding the level of business, quality of staff, and quantity of staff. Teamwork is essential to ensure the procedure runs smoothly in all areas, and communication flows.
