Catering Assistant

Berkeley-Scott is seeking a Catering Assistant for temporary agency placements across Brighton and its surrounding areas. This role involves supporting kitchen teams with food preparation, serving meals in school and catering settings, and upholding rigorous cleanliness and food hygiene standards. Shifts are flexible, allowing you to match work to your schedule, with pay ranging from £12.71 to £14.00 per hour depending on experience and the specific client. Starting in September, these positions suit those wanting to gain experience or supplement their income. What you'll be doing:

• Supporting kitchen teams with food preparation and service.
• Serving meals in school and catering environments.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Washing up and keeping work areas organised.
• Working as part of a friendly and professional team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Catering Assistant or within a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
• An Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one if required).
• Two employment references.
• The right to work in the UK.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage but is not essential.
