Reach for Remarkable Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Catering Assistant to join our team working at Monmouth Comprehensive School.

Role and Location

Catering Assistant, Monmouth Comprehensive School, NP25 3YT. This is a permanent position for someone who is keen to join a close-knit team assisting with basic food preparation and service for daily operation within the main school. 38 working weeks per year (term time only) with 4.569 paid holiday weeks. The rate is £12.21 per hour. Working hours: Monday to Friday plus some Saturday work, typically 8am-1pm or 9:30am-2:30pm.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Catering Assistant includes:

• Food production for deli grab & go items (sandwiches, wraps, salads)
• Hot counter food service for breakfast and lunch
• Organising and delivering hospitality refreshments
• Working on a scheduled Saturday for school sports days serving refreshments

Qualifications and requirements

• Basic Cookery
• Basic Food Production
• Hospitality experience
• Experience in working within a school environment
• PVG check required to obtain an Enhanced DBS
