Catering Assistant - Education and Healthcare

Berkeley Scott is recruiting a Catering Assistant - Education & Healthcare for temporary roles across Tonbridge. The position involves working in schools, hospitals and care homes with flexible shift patterns to suit your schedule. Key duties include preparing and serving hot and cold food, clearing the unit at the end of each shift, upholding food safety and allergen standards, and assisting with special events and buffets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of hot and cold food items
• Help clear and close the unit at the end of each shift
• Maintain standards in line with food safety and food allergen legislation
• Assist with special events and buffets as required

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or food service role (essential)
• Willingness to complete Food Safety and Food Allergen qualifications or possess them already (essential)
• Experience with till and/or computerised stock systems (advantage)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, sometimes challenging environment
• Team player with the initiative to work independently
• Driver's licence (preferred but not essential)
• Enhanced DBS check (required)
