About the role

Job Title: Catering Assistant - Driving Essential

School Location: Based from Fountains C of E Primary- Delivering to Dacre Braithwaite

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Shifts & Working hours: 10.30am-1.45pm (16hours 15 mins per week)

Working Weeks: 38weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

Pay Details: £8,872.50 per Annum

Important: This role involves driving, so you must hold a full, clean manual UK driving licence. You will be using an IFG company vehicle.

What will you be doing?

As a Catering Assistant (Driver), you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality food service between our main school kitchen and a nearby site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Packing meals and supplies into an IFG van
• Driving to a local school site
• Unloading, setting up, and serving food to students and staff
• Returning to the main kitchen site after service
• Supporting the catering team to deliver a friendly, efficient, and hygienic service
• Assisting with basic food preparation and snack service
• Operating the till and providing counter service
• Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and tidy at all times

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone with great customer service skills. Experience in catering or retail is helpful, but not essential-if you've got the right attitude, we'll support you to learn.
