Job Description
Overview

Catering Admin Support role at Alderney Hospital, Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. The closing date for applications is 20 October 2025.

Main duties

Working within the rota, you will need to be able to do minute taking and work on cloud-based systems.

Requirements and duties at a glance

This post requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service can present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Working arrangements

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. The post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. A full clean driving licence is required.

Person Specification Knowledge, skills and training
  • Educated to NVQ level 3, City and Guilds including level 3 food hygiene practices or equivalent level of training/experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures, HACCP, COSHH
  • Experience of menu planning
  • Understanding of therapeutic diets
Job Specific Experience
  • A clear understanding of financial resources.
  • Experience in spreadsheets and word documents
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional approach in manner and appearance.
  • Experience of working with or within the NHS in an equivalent or similar role.
Personal Qualities/Attributes
  • High level of drive, self-motivation and energy to see tasks and projects through to conclusion
  • Proven ability to achieve results both autonomously and as part of a team, line manager available for reference
