Category Manager

Parker Hannifin, a global leader in motion and control technologies, is seeking a Category Manager who will be accountable for development and execution of their category strategies within the division. The role-holder will strive towards continuous strategy alignment with the business, vendor improvement and management of key category relationships.
As Category Manager you will partner with business stakeholders, be responsible for the development and the executing of sourcing strategy, partnering to qualify new suppliers, managing work transfer from one supplier to another and will also support division PPI strategy and deflation plan, in addition to optimising inventory at all parts in the procurement portfolio, using Parker's tools.
This position will report directly to the Division Sourcing and Procurement Manager, whilst supporting the Supply Chain transformation preparing a Supplier panel for the next generation of single aisle and requires high level of leadership with a good level of team spirit.
Key Responsibilities- Knowledge of global category markets and leverages Sourcing methodologies to drive the category
- Expert on his portfolio. Identify market opportunities and new technologies
- Responsible for end-to-end management of assigned category, including the category strategy, category sourcing plan, deal pipeline, category process and policies. Managing the spend and savings targets for the category
- Develop strategy for sourcing opportunities, including RFPs, negotiations, reverse auctions, etc.
- Ensure internal stakeholder's satisfaction in all circumstances
- Support local buyer for non-performing suppliers or for escalations
- Drive annual cost down and minimize supplier cost increases. Accountable for site Purchase Price Index (PPI) performance resolution within the site team and, where necessary, escalating for additional support
- Develop and execute his/her strategies aligned with agreed upon Division requirements within the site team, including work transfer (AWT)
- Education: University degree or equivalent
- Minimum 6+ experience
- Strong knowledge on Electronics (PCBA, Components, bare board )
- Develops strategic activities for the Division with strong project management skills
- Proficient in Supply Chain AI tools
- International Relationship management skills (across different culture, countries )
- English / French speaking is essential
- Able to travel overseas 25% to 50%
