We are recruiting for a casual bank of staff who are enthusiastic, well-motivated and highly energetic to work on the SEND Inclusion Projects throughout school holidays and weekends.
The Young Peoples Service provides bespoke holidays schemes and term time provision to children and young people aged 5 to 19 years.
Blackburn with Darwen Council has delivered holiday projects for children and young people with SEND for over 20 years. This successful, exciting an innovative scheme is delivered from different sites around the Borough along with trips, visits and residential opportunities.
What you'll be doing:- supporting and engaging young people with SEND in a range of activities.
- Taking part in trips, outings and residentials
- Providing personal care where required
- Creating a welcoming, supportive and fun atmosphere for everyone.
- Aged 20 or over
- Friendly, patient and enthusiastic
- Confident working with young people with additional needs
- Reliable, flexible and able to work as part of a team
- Experience is great, but a positive attitude is just as important
