Job overview

We are looking for a Casual Learning Facilitator to work across our Art, Design and Media department based at our Baltic Campus. We are looking for a pro-active, inspiring and caring individual who can motivate and encourage students to make excellent progress towards their academic and career ambitions.

As a Learning Facilitator, you will offer excellent pastoral, learning andgeneral supportto learners. You are the heart of the department, liaising closely with teachers to track andmonitorprogress, as well as providing group and one-to-one support to learners. You will support the development of learner's personal,socialand work ready skills through tutorials covering a range of topics including hot topics such as developing resilience, knife crime, county lines. You will alsobe requiredto support the curriculum leader and manager to improve learner punctuality, attendance, retention,achievementand success.

This is a key position within the department, requiring an individual who has a strong industry background, a strong work ethic and a passion for developing our future workforce. We are looking for a dynamic,pro-activeand inspiring individual who can motivate our learners to make excellent progress towards their academic and career ambitions. As such, you willbe requiredto liaise with employers to negotiateappropriate placementsfor business students and will visit learners on site tomonitorattendance.

You must be inspiring, dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic with excellent communication, digital and organisational skills. You must also be able to plan effectively and meet deadlines set. It would be a bonus if you had some experience in mentoring,coachingorteachingyoung people.

If you have a teaching or assessing qualification that would be great but if youdon'tand are willing to work towards this, we can support you in doing so.
