About the role

We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Cash Assistant to join our Finance team within the Financial Control department. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring timely and accurate allocation of customer payments, as well as the effective management of allocation queries.

You'll be responsible for allocating customer payments, resolving anomalies, managing cases and emails within our CRM system, and working closely with both internal and external customers to deliver prompt, high-quality resolutions.

Accuracy and excellent customer service are at the heart of this role, with a proactive focus on contacting customers to achieve resolution. You'll track your performance daily against key KPIs, work efficiently to meet SLAs, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance our processes and customer experience.

This is a role where your attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make a real difference. You'll also play an important part in upholding Business Stream's values and complying with key policies such as Data Protection, Information Security and Records Management.

• A proven track record of handling customer enquiries by phone, email or online chat with confidence and professionalism.
• High levels of accuracy, especially when working with high volumes and tight deadlines.
• Excellent planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal-able to simplify complex information for others.
• Experience working to deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
• A history of identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Confidence in sharing knowledge to support others.
• Previous experience in a cash team (desirable).
