Job Description

Case Administrator - NPS Ipswich

Temporary Role (initially until December 2026, with potential to extend)

£12.71 per hour Weekly Pay

37 hours per week Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

We are recruiting on behalf of our public sector client, NPS Ipswich, for a Case Administrator to join their team based in Ipswich. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience within the Probation Service, supporting key administrative functions.

The Role

As a Case Administrator, you will provide vital administrative support to offender management teams, ensuring accurate record-keeping and smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining accurate records for people on probation and victims using internal databases
  • Preparing and managing case files and documentation
  • Handling incoming communications via telephone, email, and post
  • Supporting appointments, referrals, and sentence plan administration
  • Providing reception and general administrative support as required
  • Assisting with meetings, including organising and taking notes
Key Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic Excel
  • Experience using databases and maintaining accurate records
  • Good keyboard skills and attention to detail
  • Basic numerical ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of individuals
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and manage workload effectively

  • Parking: No on-site parking. The nearest public car park is Apex Car Park in Ipswich
