Caretaker

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Caretaker to join a luxury residential estate. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual to take ownership of a varied and rewarding role within a well-maintained, private residential setting.

Rota:
Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

Key responsibilties:

• Maintain a strong presence across the development and respond promptly to resident queries and issues
• Carry out general repairs, basic DIY and hands-on maintenance
• Oversee external contractors, including gardening and maintenance teams
• Clean and maintain communal areas within the main residential building
• Support management of plant rooms and boilers (training provided if required)
• Help ensure the cleanliness, security, and presentation of the site at all times
• Participate in out-of-hours callouts in case of any emergencies (must live within reasonable commuting distance)
• Provided with an on-site office, mobile phone and body-worn camera for communication and safety

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar caretaker, estates or maintenance role
• Confident handling a wide range of maintenance tasks including painting and decorating
• Health and Safety awareness and good general compliance knowledge
• Interest in or experience with grounds/garden upkeep is highly desirable
• Driving license and access to own vehicle is ideal (due to limited transport links)
• Computer literate with basic reporting and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent customer service and professional presentation
