Job Description

Already an experienced carer and ready for the next step? This is a Team Leader role at our Maidenhead and Windsor branch, covering Maidenhead, Windsor, Slough, Taplow, Eton and the surrounding area.

Most of your week is out on the road with a regular caseload of your own. The rest is the team leader side: supporting newer carers, covering the office phones, helping with training, and taking your turn on the on-call rota. We opened in September 2025, so this is still a young branch and you'll need to be happy to roll your sleeves up, helping build the service rather than stepping into something that's already up and running.

What you'll get
  • £16.00 per hour weekday and £18.00 per hour weekend for your care calls, plus 45p per mile

  • £14.00 per hour for office time, training and team leader work

  • At least 60% of your stated availability guaranteed as paid hours, every four-week pay period. Real security, not zero-hours

  • If we can't fill your guaranteed hours with care calls we find you other paid work, and any remaining shortfall is still paid

  • A place on the on-call rota with an additional payment, and any visits you cover while on call paid on top

  • Full-time hours

  • Fully paid training and holiday pay

  • Funded qualifications and genuine progression, including Level 3. We promote from within

  • Free virtual GP access for you and your family, 365 days a year

  • Blue Light Card and employee discount scheme

  • Company pension, referral bonuses and paid volunteer days

  • Supportive, friendly management who are there when you need them

What you'll do
  • Deliver care calls across the Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough patch, with a regular caseload of your own

  • Cover gaps, sickness and short-notice changes. This is a real part of the job

  • Support and buddy newer carers out in the field

  • Cover the office phones when the Registered Manager or Director is out

  • Help with inductions, shadow shifts and training

  • Take your turn on the on-call rota

  • Keep an eye on care plans and flag when something has changed

What we're looking for
  • Experience in domiciliary care, and ready to step up

  • Available to start between 7am and 8am, and to work every other weekend. This is essential, it's when our clients need us

  • Able to keep your stated availability open at least three days ahead, so we can plan your work properly

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to work towards it. We'll support you

  • Someone other carers will happily ring when they're stuck

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

  • The right to work in the UK. We're not able to offer sponsorship

  • Willingness to complete an Enhanced Adult DBS check
