Are you an experienced Support Worker ready to step up into a leadership role? Lifeways is looking for a dedicated Team Leader to oversee two welcoming supported living services in Preston, Lancashire.

Your Role as a Leader Who Inspires

  • Lead, support, and motivate teams of Support Workers to maintain high standards of care.
  • Promote independence and overall wellbeing for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and mental health needs.
  • Oversee daily living support, appointments, hobbies, and community engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure personalised support plans are adhered to.
  • Conduct supervisor sessions, staff interviews, and support professional development.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, individuals, families, and external professionals.

About Our Preston Services

Lifeways operates a wide range of supported living and residential care services across Preston and the surrounding Lancashire area. These include shared houses, bungalows, and modern apartments-many equipped with assistive technology. Our services are designed to help individuals build independence, develop daily living skills, and actively engage with their local communities.

  • Shops, cafes, libraries, gyms, and leisure centres.
  • Excellent transport links via bus and train for easy access to Preston city centre and nearby towns.

What You Bring

  • Experience as a Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or Support Worker with proven leadership skills.
  • NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is beneficial.
  • Strong verbal, written, and IT communication abilities.
  • A passion for empowering others and leading by example.

Shift Patterns

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Shifts between 08:00 and 22:00, Monday through Sunday.
  • Flexibility is essential to meet the varied needs of service users across both Preston services.
