The Opportunity
The Project Engineer manages the planning and implementation of capital and revenue projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget to achieve business benefits. The role involves managing multiple projects related to factory equipment, manufacturing processes, site services/infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and cGMP standards.
What will you be doing?
The role includes responsibilities such as:
- Collaborating across departments to generate clear user requirements for equipment.
- Planning and executing projects, managing risks, and maintaining up-to-date project plans.
- Managing all aspects of project lifecycle, including contractual, health and safety, quality, financial, procurement, and commissioning activities.
- Selecting equipment suppliers and supporting negotiations.
- Defining and managing project budgets.
- Leading installation, qualification, and commissioning of equipment, including FAT and SAT.
- Managing resources to meet project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensuring effective communication and smooth handover of projects.
- Supporting operations in troubleshooting and optimizing equipment performance.
- Conducting post-project evaluations and sharing lessons learned.
We welcome candidates with proven experience in installation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment, project management, and relevant engineering qualifications or experience. The ability to work under pressure, take initiative, and own tasks independently is essential.
All successful candidates will need to complete a basic DBS check before employment, which will be paid for by Dechra.
