Job Title: Candidate Onboarding Team Leader
Location:?Hybrid - Office based and remote

Salary: £30,000 to £32,000

We're looking for a confident and organised Team Leader to lead our Candidate Onboarding Team.
Opus People Solutions is a people focused recruitment provider. We connect public services with skilled workers, making sure the right people are in the right roles at the right time.
You'll be responsible for delivering a professional onboarding process for every candidate while managing performance, reporting, and continuous improvement across the team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading and supporting the onboarding team to meet quality and compliance standards
  • Managing workflow, team performance, and onboarding processes including right-to-work, DBS, references, and safeguarding
  • Overseeing second-stage reviews and final sign-off of candidate files
  • Maintaining audit-ready records and conducting sample checks to ensure compliance
  • Running reports to monitor KPIs, SLAs, and audit readiness
  • Handling escalations and complex queries from candidates, clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Collaborating with recruiters and suppliers to resolve issues and keep onboarding on track
  • Identifying process improvements and training needs, and sharing insights with your delivery manager
  • Supporting operational delivery during peak periods when needed


What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience leading onboarding or compliance teams in recruitment
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment checks and legal requirements
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and manage team performance effectively
  • Confident communication skills and experience handling escalations
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Comfortable working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident using systems to track progress, compliance, and performance
