About the Role

Virgin Media Television is seeking a Studio Camera and Lighting Operator to join our Studio Operations team. The successful candidate will work as part of this team, bringing some of Virgin Media Television's flagship programming to air. They must possess a high degree of technical proficiency in camera and lighting operation and have an unrelenting attention to detail and quality

Specific Tasks and Duties

• To perform duties in the operation of studio cameras, lighting consoles, vision control monitoring, together with a requirement to operate all integrated ancillaries.
• To operate studio cameras to a high standard with particular reference to technical quality requirements.
• To have an in-depth knowledge of studio lighting principles.
• Operation of camera exposure, luminosity and colour balance controls and maintain overall picture quality.
• To work effectively and collaboratively within a fully multi-disciplined Studio Operations team.
• Pay particular attention to health and safety measures when installing and running cables to equipment on the studio floor.
• Provide assistance and input to the Studio Director, Floor Managers, Producers and the wider team when required.
• This role will involve working on a shift pattern.
