The RoleWe are seeking a Calibration Vendor Management Technician to support all external calibration activities on-site in Galway. This on-site role runs Monday-Friday, with no travel required. Candidates must have calibration experience and strong organisational and communication skills.
Responsibilities- Schedule and manage on-site calibration vendors, ensuring equipment is ready and work is completed within required windows.
- Act as the main point of contact for external service providers and ensure compliance with site requirements.
- Off-Site Calibration Management - Prepare and ship equipment for off-site calibration, ensuring correct documentation, packaging, and traceability.
- Track equipment status and turnaround times, resolving delays directly with vendors.
- Certificate Review & Documentation - Review all returned calibration certificates for accuracy, completeness, traceability, and alignment with internal specs and QMS requirements.
- Flag discrepancies, missing information, or out-of-tolerance results and coordinate corrective actions with vendors and equipment owners.
- Process & Vendor Performance Support - Maintain and improve vendor-related processes, including shipping workflows, certificate review criteria, and vendor performance metrics.
- Support continuous improvement in turnaround time, documentation quality, and vendor compliance.
- Previous experience in a similar technical role preferably in a med-device or pharma Mfg.
- Prior calibration experience (med-device/pharma preferred).
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and calibration doc standards.
- Experience using calibration or asset-management software.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in document review.
- Excellent organisation and workflow management.
- Clear communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervisio
