Pay: €40,500.00-€45,000.00 per year
Location: Dublin 6

Our Client is looking for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead their kitchen and help improve and develop our food offering.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong café, brunch or daytime food experience who is passionate about quality food, kitchen organisation, consistency, and creating fresh menu ideas.
We are looking for someone who can not only run a strong kitchen service, but also help improve standards, food quality, margins, systems and menu development within the business.
There is also future scope for the right candidate to support menu development across more cafe locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily kitchen operation.
• Create and improve dishes and menus.
• Maintain strong food quality, consistency and presentation standards.
• Manage stock, ordering, rotation and waste control.
• Prepare recipe costings and support food margin management.
• Use spreadsheets for costings and kitchen planning.
• Train and support kitchen staff.
• Maintain HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards.
• Work closely with management on menu planning and business improvement.
• Keep service organised, calm and efficient during busy brunch/lunch periods.
• Ensure kitchen systems, prep and cleaning standards are maintained at all times.

The Right Candidate Will Have

• Previous Head Chef, Sous Chef or senior chef experience.
• Strong café, brunch or daytime food experience.
• Experience creating or improving menus.
• Good understanding of food costings, stock control and waste management.
• Confidence using Excel or spreadsheets.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Excellent HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Calm and professional approach under pressure.
• High standards and pride in food quality and consistency.

Role Details

• Full-time permanent role.
• Daytime café environment.
• Based in Dublin 6.
• Salary: €40,500-€45,000, negotiable depending on experience.
