Role Information

Location: Flintshire
Salary: £28,211 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 30 hours per week (part-time)
Working Pattern: Initially Tuesday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:30pm, with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Café Co-ordinator to support the day-to-day running of a vibrant community café while helping adults with learning disabilities and/or autism develop valuable life, vocational and employability skills. This is a rewarding opportunity to combine hospitality experience with meaningful person-centred support.

What You'll Be Doing

Café & Customer Service

• Deliver outstanding customer experiences in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including barista-style beverages.
• Prepare and serve light meals, snacks and refreshments.
• Operate tills and process payments accurately.
• Monitor stock levels, merchandising and product displays.
• Support café opening and closing procedures.

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support.
• Encourage independence, confidence and personal growth.
• Help individuals develop practical, social and workplace skills.
• Build positive relationships with people supported, families and professionals.

• Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
• Follow allergen and food safety procedures.
• Ensure safe working practices and accurate record keeping.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Experience in hospitality, catering, retail or a customer-facing environment.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good IT and administrative skills.
• A passion for supporting people to achieve their goals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to equality, inclusion and person-centred values.

Desirable

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Barista training or café experience.
• Knowledge of vocational learning, supported employment or social enterprise.
• Full UK driving licence.
