C++ Software Engineer

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to hold an active SC Clearance and be able to work full time onsite in Bristol.

Overview of opportunity:
The role is within a team implementing a demonstration system for a complex new Command and Control capability, this extends existing concepts and logic. If the demonstration is successful, it may develop into a development project for a fully operational capability.

Responsibilities:
Developing and testing complex C++ business logic.
Collaboration with internal algorithm teams to create code to execute algorithms, implement complex transformation logic and verification implementation.
We expect several iterations using a CI/CD approach.
Implementation of interfaces to internal and external systems.
Extension of existing software to create components that will run in in a virtual environment and supporting the deployment of software.

Skillset/experience required:
Strong experience in C++ application development.
A strong background in software engineering, its realisation and system wide impact.
Experience in CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, Docker.
Experience of developing software for virtual environments.
Knowledge of safety and security related development and associated standards is advantageous.
Knowledge of Data Distribution Service (DDS) is advantageous.
