C++ Developer

• Salary: Up to £140,000 per annum (DOE)
• Hybrid: 3 days per week onsite (Non-negotiable)
• Location: Central London

About the Role
A global trading organisation is looking for a Senior C++ Developer to join their team and be responsible for the design, development, and support of systems and services for their next trading platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and architects to review and understand complex business and technical requirements.
• Create high quality documentation including detailed technical, functional and unit test specifications.
• Design, develop, debug, implement, test and maintain software solutions, applications and services.
• Perform thorough unit testing of developed software.
• Contribute to effective and efficient 3rd line application support for production systems including the provision of permanent remediation.
• Perform and participate in peer reviews of solution designs and associated code, aiming for enhanced quality to deliver efficient, flexible, robust and maintainable solutions.

Essential Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in systems analysis, design, and development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of designing and building Server Side C++ applications, ideally on RedHat 7 or later.
• Proven experience of developing large scale mission critical, low latency or fault tolerant systems.
• Experience of software development methodologies and working in a structured environment.
• Knowledge of financial services, derivatives or trading in an exchange, sell-side or Front Office environment would be highly beneficial.
• Experience of developing low-level, high performance systems.
• Familiarity with Service Orientated Architecture, concurrency models and threading, multicast messaging or FIX message protocols would be advantageous.

Key Skills: C++ (ideally version 17 or later), Red Hat Linux (ideally V7 or later), Low Latency/High Performance trading applications/platforms.
