Buying Assistant - Barnsley - £30,000 - £32,000

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working with a major wholesaler based in Barnsley who are looking for a Buying Assistant to join their team.

The business which has seen it's turnover quadruple over the last 5 years offers genuine development routes for progression.

Duties:

• Negotiate prices with suppliers to get the best deals without compromising quality
• Keep up to date with market trends and competitor pricing to spot new product and sourcing opportunities
• Work with merchandising and supply chain teams to ensure stock arrives on time and meets demand
• Track sales and product performance to guide future buying decisions
• Build and maintain good supplier relationships that meet company standards for quality, pricing, and delivery
• Help prepare purchase orders, keep records accurate and follow procurement rules

Hours: Full time Monday - Friday
