You will source and develop products for the shops, focusing on unique items that reflect the Abbey's history, architecture and collections. You will also source and develop products for special anniversaries, celebrations and exhibitions, and assist with sourcing generic merchandise and books. The role will enable you to develop and review cohesive range plans, working collaboratively with a supportive and professional team of colleagues. There will be a strong focus on developing the online shop and analysing sales data, while managing stock, prices and margins effectively.
Responsibilities- Source and develop products for the shops, focusing on items that reflect the Abbey's history, architecture and collections.
- Source and develop products for special anniversaries, celebrations and exhibitions; assist with sourcing generic merchandise and books.
- Develop and review cohesive range plans; collaborate with colleagues to deliver strong product ranges.
- Develop the online shop and analyse sales data; manage stock, pricing and margin performance.
- Educated to at least A level standard, with proven in-depth experience of product development in the gift, heritage or museum sectors.
- Creative flair and a good eye for detail.
- Strong negotiating, financial and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; confidence with Adobe Photoshop is desirable but not essential.
The full-time equivalent hours are 35 hours per week.
Benefits and Entitlements- The full-time holiday entitlement is 31 days per annum, including recognised public holidays, rising to 33 days per annum in the fifth year of service.
