Butchery Factory Manager

We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a well established Award winning food supplier.

Grasmere Farm is seeking a hands on Butchery Factory Manager to lead their production operation. You will oversee a team of skilled butchers, sausage makers and order assembly staff, ensuring the smooth running of all daily activities within a busy butchery environment.

This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a practical approach, and experience within food manufacturing.

In particular, you will:

• Managing and supporting the butchery team (8 staff)
• Overseeing production for supermarkets, wholesalers, shops, online customers and our own stores
• Maintaining stock control and completing regular stock takes
• Remaining hands on where required (butchery tasks, order assembly, burger production, sausage making, slicing etc.)
• Ensuring compliance with FSA and SALSA standards (audit training can be provided)
• Upholding high standards of hygiene, traceability, and health & safety
• Managing workflow, labour planning and daily operational requirements
• Solving daily production issues quickly and effectively

Who we are looking for:

• Strong background in food manufacturing or production management
• Able to manage and motivate butchers and production staff
• Highly organised with excellent multitasking ability
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast paced environment
• Able to handle challenging personalities when needed
• Audit knowledge beneficial

On offer:

• Salary depending on experience
• Working Hours: 7.00am- 5.00pm across Monday - Thursday and 7.00am - 3.00pm
• 28 days holiday including bank holidays
