Business Unit Risk Analyst (MORS)
We have an exciting opportunity to work with a Tier 1 Investment Bank as part of their Market & Operational Risk Support (MORS) team. This role focuses on supporting the Business Unit Risk Management for Equity and Fixed Income businesses.
You will monitor and manage counterparty and credit risk, ensure compliance with credit policies, and maintain a strong control framework to protect the firm. The role involves collaboration with Trading Desks, Sales, and Credit & Market Risk teams, along with process improvements and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and escalate counterparty and credit risk across Equity and Fixed Income businesses.
- Ensure correct application of credit policies and handle crisis events.
- Conduct market risk scenario analysis, limits tracking, and reporting.
- Maintain a control framework and oversee Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
- Act as the primary escalation point for risk issues.
- Drive automation and process enhancement initiatives.
- Build relationships with stakeholders.
- Apply credit approval processes and set trade limits.
- Monitor exposures by underliers, countries, and portfolios.
- Track ratings, concentration risks, and perform ad-hoc credit analysis.
- Lead automation of margin calculations and system workflows.
- Knowledge of counterparty credit risk and market risk concepts.
- Experience in risk management or credit analysis in financial services.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with automation and risk systems is a plus.

This is a permanent full-time role based in London with hybrid working. The minimum onsite requirement is 3 days per week, with some clients requiring up to 5 days. Applicants must have a valid UK work permit.
