Job Description

RedBull UK is currently recruiting for a Business Unit Controller (Tesco) FTC 13 Months to be based in the UK.

The purpose of this role is to lead the commercial strategy and execution for Tesco and One Stop, delivering sustainable growth and profitability for RedBull across both retail partners. The Business Unit Controller is accountable for setting the strategic direction, leading a high-performing account team, and ensuring alignment with RedBull's broader commercial objectives. This includes overseeing joint business planning, driving category leadership, and ensuring operational excellence across all touchpoints.

This role is vital in shaping RedBull's presence within the UK's largest grocery and convenience retailers. By fostering strong senior-level relationships, leveraging data-led insights, and championing cross-functional collaboration, the Business Unit Controller will unlock new growth opportunities, enhance brand visibility, and maintain RedBull's position as a category thought leader in a competitive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the business unit aligned with RedBull's overall commercial objectives.
  • Own the P&L for the business unit, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.
  • Lead the execution of strategic Joint Business Plans, aligning with senior customer stakeholders to drive mutual growth.
  • Identify and leverage market opportunities, influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver alignment across the Tesco Group, optimizing outcomes and reducing exposure.
  • Define and execute a customer engagement strategy to position RedBull as the category leader.
  • Drive commercial negotiations, including trade terms, cost price increases, and strategic investments.
  • Optimize investment and trade spend across accounts to maximize ROI.
  • Maintain and grow RedBull as the category leader, leveraging insights and innovation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the customer to secure long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales, Category Management, and Brand & Shopper Marketing teams to ensure executional excellence.
  • Work with HQ counterparts to maximize internal and external performance.
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of NAMs & NAEs, providing coaching and development opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a senior commercial role.
  • Strong track record in P&L management, negotiations, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales data and market insights.

Travel requirement: 30-40%
