Business Support Assistant with responsibility for SEND. Start date: 1 September 2026. Hours: 22 hours a week, term time only. Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 10.45am - 3.45pm and Friday 10.45am - 3.15pm. Full time equivalent salary range: £26,824 - £29,540 per annum. Actual salary range: £13,337 - £14,687 per annum.
ResponsibilitiesWork with the SENDCO and SEND team to keep key processes running smoothly, supporting a busy diary and email inbox, and ensuring communication, meetings, paperwork and records are well organised, accurate and completed on time. Work alongside a colleague in the same role to provide support from 8.00am to 11.00am, ensuring consistent and effective support throughout the school day.
Support access arrangements, prepare for annual reviews, organise parent meetings, help with SEND events, respond to enquiries and maintain up to date student information. Provide calm, professional, discreet assistance with strong IT skills, excellent attention to detail and confident communication with a wide range of people.
QualificationsExperience of working in a school or SEND setting is helpful but not essential. Key attributes include organisational, proactive, people focused administration, strong IT skills, attention to detail, and the confidence to communicate sensitively with a wide range of people.
