The Role:

We have 1 full time and 1 part time vacancy for two Business Support Assistants in Safe and Caring Communities whose core focus will be to support the work of our frontline practitioners; enabling them to achieve the best outcomes and prioritise direct work with the residents of Cornwall and ensure timely communications with service users and partner agencies.

Working week: Monday - Thursday 08.45 - 17.15, Friday 08.45 - 16.45.

Successful applicant will work as part of a team, supporting the residents of Cornwall across the county through the delivery of high quality business support services. Duties will involve a range of tasks including monitoring of admin mailboxes, distribution of correspondence and reports, records management, meeting administration and detailed recording of complex meetings within strict timescales, financial transactions and input of information to the Case Management System.

The role may require working remotely; a basic criminal record disclosure check is required.

What you'll need to succeed:
  • 4 GCSEs (A C) or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Excellent keyboard skills.
  • Experience working in an office environment (advantage).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise appropriately with all levels of staff, service users and other agencies.
  • A professional approach, applying discretion and diplomacy.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work within a busy team environment, producing good quality, accurate outputs while working to deadlines.
