Job Description

Reed in Partnership is a family owned public service provider delivering employability support across the UK. The Business Manager role is based in our Derby office.

Pay and Working Hours
  • Pay Range: £33,750 to £41,000 (pro rata for part time)
  • Full time, with flexible working arrangements considered on a case by case basis
Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of Employment Advisers to achieve high quality service delivery and performance targets.
  • Oversee daily operations, including office management and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Direct staff development through performance management, training, coaching and mentoring.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise Restart referrals and employment opportunities.
  • Manage Profit & Loss reports and conduct monthly financial forecasting.
  • Implement strategies to upskill local community members and overcome barriers to employment.
Qualifications
  • Previous direct line management of a team.
  • Experience in a sales, customer service or recruitment industry.
  • Track record of achieving targets both personally and as a manager.
  • Experience in people management, including training, coaching, performance management and recruitment.
  • Strong administration and IT skills.
  • Assertiveness, resilience and good decision making skills.
  • A minimum of 2 A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
  • GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification), or equivalent literacy assessment.
Desirable Criteria
  • Interest in people and willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of welfare/benefits system.
  • Degree or relevant qualification, ideally in psychology, sociology, social care/science, information advice and guidance, brokerage standard, social work or welfare to work qualifications.
  • Fluency in more than one language.
