Business Development Officer - Food & Drink, Business Development Team (BDO25)

Salary starting £37,694 per annum plus attractive pension

Invest Northern Ireland is seeking to appoint a Business Development Officer to our Food and Drink Business Development Team, based in our Bedford Square Headquarters.

The role

The post-holder will support the promotion of activities delivered by the Food & Drink Division and its Business Development Team, liaising with Invest NI's Communications Team in relation to food and drink events, initiatives and marketing and communications activity.

Reporting to the GB/ROI Food & Drink Business Development Manager, the Business Development Officer will support the Food & Drink Business Development Team to accelerate client growth in external markets, namely in the Republic of Ireland and Britain.

The Business Development Officer will also support team activity in engaging with Invest NI clients, Client Executives and Managers, buyers and industry stakeholders to pursue sector opportunities and external sales growth.

The candidate

You will have experience within the fast-moving consumer goods sector, demonstrating commercial acumen and the ability to deliver an 'impact driven' action plan to grow sales in export markets and drive business growth. You will also have experience in supporting the successful delivery of events and activities against plans and supporting the management of associated administration.

You should be able to work as part of a team, collaborating effectively with team members, stakeholders and clients, and proactively managing multiple priorities, as well as conveying complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
