The role
We are investing significantly in cutting-edge business solutions and are looking for a tenacious Business Development Manager, Excellence Awards to take ownership of our Excellence Awards product set to grow our client base. We are looking for a self-motivated and ambitious individual who understand how technology is reshaping the future and its impact on business ecosystem.
We have a strong commercial culture that is supported by bringing best-in-class technical, media and consulting talent. You will be working closely with the Awards Manager and Head of Digital Account Management to implement strategy and drive sales, as well as collaborating closely with other business functions to ensure we are delivering first class service. As we develop larger and larger client accounts you will be at the forefront of driving greater collaboration across our teams.
What you'll be doing
- Driving sales of our Excellence Awards and Rankings product set across 18 key brands
- Owning the Awards sales cycle by identifying new prospects, prospecting, arranging and carrying out presentations via web and face to face when valuable, and closing
- Managing onboarded clients through their campaigns
- Reporting, documenting, and communicating client status
- Attending client meetings and industry events, internal and external product-related events
- Working with the management team and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of the Awards initiative (Product, Finance, Customer Services etc)
- Meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and KPI's
- This is a sole contributor role
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have the ability to engage with C-level and other senior decision makers with confidence, advancing through the sales cycle by linking clients and prospects interests, priorities & challenges to the product strengths:
Essential:
- University Degree (or equivalent)
- Exceptional end-to-end sales skillset:
- 2+ years sales experience, ideally within Awards or Media sales
- Confidence presenting and dealing with Senior Executives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven track record of exceeding personal quota on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- A good understanding of any of the following: Awards sales, Media sales and/or Digital Marketing
- Ability to translate complex topics into simple solutions
- Determined, enthusiastic & independent in attitude
- Quick thinking, organised multi-tasker with strong organizational and time management skills
Desired but not essential:
- A degree in Marketing
- Account Management experience, ideally with an Award product
- B2B sales experience in one or more of our core industries (Aerospace & Defence, Consumer, Energy, Healthcare, Transport, Financial Services)
- Experience / knowledge of various sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Zoominfo
