Business Development Manager, EMEA

A global law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to support its BD and marketing strategy across the EMEA region. This strategic, hands-on role drives planning and day-to-day delivery of client development activity, working with partners across multiple jurisdictions.

The EMEA region includes Denmark, France, Ireland, Oman, Spain and the UAE, with local BD teams in Ireland, Spain and the UAE. The role supports those teams - as well as offices without dedicated BD resource - and plays a key part in advancing the firm's global growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with senior lawyers to develop go-to-market plans and annual BD initiatives.
• Contribute to regional BD planning and support the regional BD lead.
• Lead submissions for legal directories across all EMEA jurisdictions.
• Work with partners on social media profile building and strategic positioning.
• Prepare and coach lawyers for strategic pursuits, acting as a trusted adviser.
• Project-manage local and international bids; draft content for pitches, proposals and fee quotes; advise on bid/no-bid decisions.
• Maintain a library of regional BD content aligned with global templates.
• Support partners with pitch presentations, win themes and best-practice pursuit techniques.
• Support key client programme activity, including client plans, relationship development and CRM discipline.
• Promote best practice in CRM; maintain accurate data and generate BD reports to inform ROI.
• Ensure consistent tracking of BD activity across the region.

Required Experience

• Strong understanding of business development techniques.
• Excellent project-management skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Law firm experience required.
• Minimum 3+ years in a similar role (guideline, not a strict requirement).
• International experience preferred.
