Job Description

We are partnering with a well-established office furniture and equipment company based in Cork to recruit a Business Development Manager. You will work closely with the management team and will be the 'Cork Champion', driving sales and marketing activity for the region. This will be a mix of being officed based, out on the road visiting client sites, and meeting clients in the showroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver upon the business plan for Cork territory and market. This business plan will focus both on financial targets and key goals to be achieved within agreed timelines.
  • Identify potential clients and the decision makers within relevant organisation's and build relationships with them for potential business opportunities.
  • Nurture relationships across our existing successful Client Base.
  • Target and work the Architects & Design community in the Cork Region and share relevant content with the target market.
  • Product understanding and Integration, understand the marketplace, client needs, compile quotations, and proposals.
  • Actively contribute to the devising, planning and implementation of an effective, appropriate and 'on brand' marketing strategy.
  • Compile weekly progress reports and record and update activity daily on the company's CRM and other relevant spreadsheets.
  • Report Directly to Company Directors.
Requirements
  • 3-5+ years' experience in Business Development, Sales or Account Management.
  • Proven track record of winning new business and generating revenue.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills and the ability to maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems to manage opportunities and sales activity.
  • Strong reporting and forecasting skills.
