Salary: £40,000-£60,000 (DOE)

Are you an experienced sales professional within building materials or construction products, looking to take ownership of a high value region? We're recruiting a Business Development Manager to join a well established builders merchant with a strong reputation and a loyal customer base across Yorkshire.

What you'll be doing

• Managing and growing key accounts, including some of the company's top performing customers
• Developing new business opportunities across SME builders and national house builders
• Upselling a wide portfolio of building materials and construction products
• Building long-lasting relationships through regular face to face client visits
• Keeping up to date with industry trends, product developments, and competitor activity
• Ensuring accurate CRM updates and providing reports to senior management
• Working collaboratively with multiple branches to support customer needs

What we're looking for

• Experience within a builders merchant OR the construction products / building materials sector
• A proven background in sales, ideally selling into house builders, SMEs, or contractors
• Someone commercially driven, customer focused, and confident managing a busy regional territory
• Strong relationship building skills and the ability to win and grow accounts
