Business Development Manager

Sapiens is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Reinsurance and Specialty insurance markets - a key role at the heart of our European P&C division.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of P&C Sales (Europe), you will focus on expanding our P&C portfolio through up sell, cross sell, and platform awareness initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Drive up sell and cross sell to existing P&C customers in the Reinsurance and Specialty markets.
• Ensure customers are fully aware of the entirety of the Sapiens Insurance Platform capabilities in P&C.
• Cross sell existing customers to the Sapiens SaaS model, delivered as Cloud as a Service on a 3 to 5 year term basis.
• Promote usage of the latest Sapiens software versions through incremental upgrades by articulating new feature benefits and selling upgrade services.
• Identify new opportunities within existing customers, create winning proposals, manage estimating processes, and drive thought leadership in the accounts.
• Produce strategic account plans detailing strategy, business, people, and alignment to Sapiens's propositions.
• Accurately forecast and track new sales opportunities, coordinating internal stakeholders to support up sell/cross sell.

Qualifications

• 5 years or more experience directly involved in software sales to the P&C insurance sector.
• Understanding of the Reinsurance and Specialty insurance marketplace in the UK & Europe.
• Previous experience in sales and implementation of software solutions to the insurance industry.
• Core insurance PAS knowledge.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• A can do attitude and the ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage effectively at CxO level.
• New logo hunting experience.
• Wider European insurance market knowledge and experience.
• Experience with data intelligence and exposure management solutions and requirements.
• Minimum A level education (preferably degree level) or equivalent experience.
