Overview

Business Development Manager - Events & Partnerships is responsible for selling sponsorship packages across the Conferences and Events portfolio and recruiting new Partners. The role develops meaningful relationships with Partners and stakeholders with a consultative approach to account management.

Role and Team

The role is within the events team, part of the Commercial department. The team is collaborative and maintains relationships with partners externally. You will act as a brand ambassador and support all stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Selling sponsorship packages across the Conferences and Events portfolio.
  • Recruiting new Partners and developing meaningful relationships with Partners and other stakeholders.
  • Maintaining a professional, consultative approach to account management as a brand ambassador.
Candidate Profile / Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of conference/exhibition sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success in exhibitions and sponsorship sales, consistently meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • High emotional intelligence, skilled at building and sustaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Personable and enthusiastic with a proactive, solutions oriented approach; a true team player.

  • Content - Editorial - Marketing - Marketing & PR - Sales: Salary £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits. Project Manager role focusing on connecting, supporting and growing member engagement and industry intelligence.
  • Events - Finance: Salary £90,000 - £120,000 Base + Benefits. Financial Controller role within a dynamic events company.
